The last meeting was held on Wednesday, August 4th. The
following 2 members were in attendance, Robert Avery and
Frank Chalfant.

A meeting was held on Wednesday, July 7th. The following
4 members were in attendance, Robert Koehl, Doug Smith,
Steve Clarner, Frank Chalfant and Nacho. Doug gave us a
report on the Vegas chip show and how he financed his
youth at Astro World’s skill games of chance. I won’t get into
the details on the grounds it may incriminate him. Frank
brought some old chip racks and Todd chip tubes. We had
great decisions on everything from chips, the chip show in
Las Vegas, and the oil spill.
For all of the Galveston fans, I received a phone call from
Bob Wilkins. He requested my help in planning and helping
him. They are making plans to run the play “Galveston the
Musical” at the Hobby Center in Houston in October 2011. I
know it’s early, but if you missed it in Galveston a few years
ago this will be your chance to see a great play. They were
sold out almost every performance and had waiting lines for
the tickets form no-shows. I saw it over a dozen times and
couldn’t wait until the next performance. It has to play in
Houston before it can go to Broadway in New York. More
details later.
