Greater Houston Chip & Token Collectors Club
Counter
The last meeting was held on Wednesday, March 3rd.
The following 8 members were in attendance, Ethel
Hodges, Michael Hodges, Robert Koehl, Ed Hertel,
Doug Smith, Lewis Garrett, Jeff Wilcox, Frank Chalfant.
We were few, but mighty. We had great decisions on
everything from the ailing post office to robbers in
politics. Yes, we even talked chips. Jeff brought his
fabulous collection of $2.50 chip for all of us to drool
over, thanks Jeff. Jeff can no longer serve as Secretary
/ Treasurer due to ill health so Doug is taking over the
duties of Treasurer and Vice President and I will
assume the duties of Secretary and President. We
discussed the future of the club and came up with the
following.

As of now we are suspending the yearly $15.00 dues.
Membership will be free. We felt that since we had no
monthly newsletter, I am going to try to keep sending
out emails to keep everyone informed on the club
happenings, and no expenses but the website that we
had enough money in the treasury to last for awhile.
When the need for money in the future we can take a
collection, hold a raffle, or reinstate dues. We felt that
some collectors might be only able to attend a few
meeting a year and $15.00 was too much money or that
they were not members and felt guilty about coming a
few times of the year without paying any dues.

We hope to see you at the next meeting on
Wednesday, April 7th try to bring something for show
and tell or fro trade or sale.
